For ten years, the Dutch trader in Poland Johan Willemsen buys cut Chrysanthemums from Albert Ekelmans (Nursery Sensation, Holland). However, the two men never met. Until last Friday 15 June, when they met each other at Fides. Thereafter, they baptized the new variety Stylist Pink.

The meeting between the grower and the Polish buyer was organized by Rick Minck, product manager at Fides. He recently heard a story from Willemsen, who buys a box of white, single flowered Chrysanthemums (Bacardi) of Nursery Sensation to decorate the church every Friday. “But one day, the Chrysanthemums of nursery Sensation weren’t in stock. So he bought Bacardi from another supplier. The nuns were not very pleased with those flowers. The next Friday, the nuns expressly asked for the beautiful Chrysanthemums with that ‘card on the box’, referring to the boxes of Sensation. They noticed the difference in quality”, Minck said.

Stylist Pink and Stylist Yellow
The presentation and colour shades of these flowers really say it all: these stylized pink-white and yellow-red masterpieces have been created by means of very fine brush strokes. No wonder these beautiful art works bred by Fides already caught the attention of many florists all over Europe at product presentations. Positive reactions simply poured in from all directions. Both artistic novelties will be introduced by Nursury Sensation.
