DNA Green Group acquires American breeder Ecke Ranch

Acquisition of world market leader in poinsettia breeding

De Lier, The Netherlands, 15 August 2012 – DNA Green Group, one of the world’s largest flower and plant breeding companies, acquires the American breeder Ecke Ranch from the family owners. Ecke is the global leading poinsettia breeder, with a turnover of USD 25 million. With this acquisition, DNA Green Group strengthens its global top-3 position and broadens the product portfolio.

Fides strengthens managing board

As of 1 August 2012 Ringo Veenman (38) and Peter van Duin (47) started as respectively commercial and operations directors at Fides, the breeding and propagation company from De Lier (Netherlands), which is part of DNA Green Group.
